Originally, Yahoo! Search started as a web directory of other websites, organized in a hierarchy, as opposed to a searchable index of pages. In the late 1990s, Yahoo! evolved into a full-fledged portal with a search interface and, by 2007, a limited version of selection-based search. - MSN Search

Easy expert search - This site is meant for all those who are not yet familiar with all the possibilities of Google and all the required syntaxes. One can specify a search by one particuliar site or filetype (word, excel, powerpoint and pdf) or an imagesearch by size and type. Calculator let's you do all kind of (very advanced) calculations. Soople has added the unit-converter, which is based on this calculator, for the conversion of all the commmon units/measures (meters, yards).
